Some days

|

Some days, I just want to put my snow globes, office toys, blankets, footies, lamps, cotton balls, Glad Press n' Seal, silverware, dryer sheets, knickknacks, books, floss, and George Foreman grill into a big box. And then do one or all of the following:

  • Get in my car and drive to Vegas and be a docent at the Liberace Museum
  • Quit my job and sell laminate flooring and/or pharmaceuticals
  • Take my cat to Hollywood and get her booked on Fancy Feast commercials (and a regular gig as a judge on Project Runway)
  • Why can you always find Mama's Family on some channel, at any time, day or night?
  • Go to Rwanda and teach web development

Winning the war on terror, one eyelash at a time

|

Did you know, that according to Homeland Security, half-dried, clumpy mascara is a liquid? Thank goodness we're winning the war on terror by confiscating my tube of L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Blackest Black. I feel safer already.

In other travel news, US Airways now puts full-sized ads on their tray tables. But they don't charge extra for exit-row seats, and they didn't lose my luggage, soooo...I have no complaints.

I spent the weekend pretending I was a Gilmore Girl as I skipped, toodled and bumbled all over New Haven and New York with pals. And I also took a very informative Yale tour led by a charming Pakistani senior with the loveliest British accent. Did you know that New Haven Green is actually a graveyard? They just moved all the tombstones somewhere else. Freak-ay.

Also: Pets in Uniform. (This site might be a scam, so don't actually upload anything, but it's worth a peek and a snort.)

Did anyone else think Kids in the Hall when reading this headline? Tee hee.

UPDATE: Ahahaha - Wonkette thought the same thing.
