I'm back from camping in south dakota with melissa. the highlights:
- visited Wall Drug, and took pictures with fiberglass jackalopes
- ate buffalo burgers
- saw buffalo (a LOT of buffalo)
- saw prairie dogs, burros (who stuck their heads in our car, while melissa laughed and threw carrots out the window), deer, mountain sheep, wild turkeys
- caught rainbow trout and grilled them for dinner
- saw 4 shooting stars
- ate more buffalo burgers
- went to the Kum n' Go for gas (yes, I know)
- visited the Corn Palace
- drank manhattans around a campfire and ate korean-style kebabs
- got car sick
- saw mount rushmore
- saw the badlands
- saw the black hills
- read a lot of my Annie Dillard book
I had *such* a good time. it was hard to come back.
